Vitamin C helps to:
- maintain the normal function of the immune system;
- reduce feelings of tiredness and fatigue;
- maintain normal psychological function and normal nervous system activity;
- maintain normal collagen formation, which is required for the normal function of bones, cartilage, blood vessels, teeth, gums, and skin.
Vitamin C is particularly important in the spring, as the body is tired and weakened after winter, and there is a lack of vitamins, fruits, and vegetables. Many people complain of anemia. For such individuals, vitamin C is especially necessary because it improves iron absorption.
To maintain normal immune system function or after recovering from various infections, higher doses of vitamin C are required – at least 1 gram per day for no less than two months. When taking high doses of vitamin C, stomach irritation may occur.
Lamberts has created a time-release formula. Time-release vitamin C tablets are produced using a special process that preserves nutrients in microgranules, allowing vitamin C to be released slowly after the tablet is swallowed. The gradual release of vitamin C occurs over 6-8 hours, mimicking the natural digestive process. This ensures a stable level of vitamin C in the blood for a longer period and significantly better tolerance.
In addition to vitamin C, these supplements contain a citrus bioflavonoid complex and rosehip extract. Bioflavonoids are natural pigments found in plants that possess exceptionally strong antioxidant properties. Bioflavonoids enhance the effect of vitamin C, so they should be taken together to achieve even better results. Rosehips are rich in polyphenols, carotenoids, and vitamins C and E, which possess powerful antioxidant properties.
