PROPOLIS EXTRACT
Bees collect propolis from the buds and bark of certain trees, such as poplar, birch, pine, spruce, chestnut, willow, oak, and elm. In its natural form, it is a dark-colored, sticky resin when warm, with a bitter taste and characteristic odor. Although it is primarily a raw material of plant origin, bees add beeswax and enzymes that they produce during the collection process. Raw propolis consists of approximately 50% resin, 30% beeswax, and also contains essential oils, pollen, and several organic and mineral compounds.
Propolis has been used since ancient times – the Incas used it to reduce fever, and Greek and Roman medicine valued propolis for its antiseptic properties, using it as a disinfectant and a remedy for repairing mucous membranes and skin. Modern scientific research has confirmed the effectiveness of propolis as a natural antibiotic, demonstrating its ability to fight bacteria, viruses, and fungi. In addition, propolis possesses strong antioxidant, analgesic, and immune-supporting properties.
MALLOW AND MARSHMALLOW EXTRACT
Marshmallow is used to relieve sore throats and respiratory tract diseases, while mallow leaves and petals are used to soothe dry coughs in order to reduce inflammation of the throat, pharynx, and larynx. Both plants contain high amounts of polysaccharides that help with inflammation. When exposed to water, these substances become sticky and adhere to the mucous membrane, forming a protective layer that moisturizes and soothes irritated tissues.
EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL
The refreshing properties of eucalyptus support the health of the respiratory tract, nose, and throat. Used in a diffuser, it soothes irritation of the nasal mucosa, promotes the loosening of phlegm, and helps it be expelled from the body.
MENTHOL
Provides a pleasant and long-lasting sensation of freshness; a mild anesthetic effect temporarily reduces throat irritation and discomfort.
